The fantasy season is now over (except for the detestable leagues that play into week 17), and this was one crazy week!
Cam, Brady, Rodgers, and especially Big Ben probably lost a lot of people their championship. Beckham being suspended probably didn’t help either. Antonio Brown didn’t have an Antonio Brown type of game, and Martavis Bryant wet the bed. Let’s try not to focus on those players and instead talk about a few guys that may have helped you WIN your championship.
Kirk Cousins (QB, Was) 32 points.
I am one of the people that rode Captain Kirk to a championship win. He could have had an even better day if his brain had worked correctly at the end of the first half. Even so, he was a stud. I put up a poll that asked who would be on more fantasy championship teams Cousins or Tom Brady. Cousins won the poll and probably that battle.
Tim Hightower (RB, NO) 28 points.
All the analysts were raving about Hightower because of workload. Opportunity does equal fantasy points after all. Looks like they were all right. Hightower produced in a big way against a terrible team. Exactly how fantasy all stars are suppose to act.
Julio Jones (WR, Atl) 23 points.
Okay, so most people had him all season and started him every single game. With that being said, a lot of people were advocating sitting Julio. Josh Norman is good, but Julio is too. I hope everyone started Julio, he was what he was suppose to be, AWESOME.
Jordan Reed (TE, Was) 24 points.
Reed was a mid-season pick up that ended as one of the best tight ends in football, and fantasy. When Reed is healthy, he is probably the #2 TE in the game behind ONLY Gronk. That’s big praise. He scored twice what any other TE did this week. If you had the luxury of starting him, he could have very well been the reason you won.
With another season down, it's time to start looking forward. For many of us, we will continue to play DFS. For others, this is the end. For those people, we'll see you next season!
